Submission Guidelines:

            Samandal is a multilingual comics magazine based in Beirut, Lebanon. We do however welcome submissions from all over the world. When submitting work, please conform to a few guidelines to help us keep things organized.

If you are a(n):

A- Comics Illustrator and writer, or a team collaborating together, you can choose one of two types of submissions:
           
            1- Serialized Comic: this includes all comics that span more than one issue. To submit your Serialized Comic, please send us the first instalment accompanied by a brief synopsis of the entire plot. You must also include an estimation of the number of issues you need to complete your series.

            2- One Shot Comic: this is a self-contained comic that does not go over one issue. The submission then consists of the entire comic with finalized artwork.

B- Illustrator: who wishes to draw comics but has no script to work from, please send us samples of your work and we will match you with an appropriate writer from our Samandal database, taking into account your particular style and preferences.

C- Writer: who writes comics scripts but has no illustrator to work with, please send us the script of the first installment as well as a projected synopsis of your idea if it is a serialized story. Depending on your style, we will match you with an appropriate illustrator from our Samandal database taking into account your particular style and preferences.

All Submissions must be:
           
            - 23.5cm by 16.5cm portrait with 3 mm bleeds.
            - Black and White
            - in Arabic, English or French
            - Submitted digitally in high resolution (300 dpi)

            All submissions will be screened by the editors, and selected artists and writers are encouraged to become regular contributors to the magazine. Please send all submissions and any questions you have to submissions@samandal.org
